TERMS&CONDITIONS
THE SEOUL FORMULA
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all online training courses, online educational workshops, digital course materials, assessments and related educational services provided by The Seoul Formula (“we”, “us”, “our”).
The Seoul Formula operates primarily as an online education academy, with courses and workshops delivered remotely through our online learning platform.
By purchasing, enrolling in, accessing or participating in our training, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Online Training & Course Access
The Seoul Formula's courses and educational workshops are delivered online through our online academy.
Following successful payment and enrolment, students will receive access to the relevant course or workshop through our online learning platform.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, our online courses and workshops include lifetime access to the purchased training materials for as long as the course remains hosted and supported by The Seoul Formula and our online learning platform remains operational.
Lifetime access refers to the lifetime of the course or educational product and does not constitute a guarantee that a particular third-party platform, technology or version of the training will remain available indefinitely.
Course access is personal to the registered student and may not be transferred, sold, shared or provided to another person.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe course materials, account credentials or intellectual property have been shared, copied, redistributed or otherwise misused.
Account Security
Students are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their login credentials.
Login details must not be shared with another person and multiple individuals must not access training through a single student account.
Students are responsible for activity conducted through their account where their login credentials have been shared or inadequately protected.
Where we reasonably suspect account sharing, unauthorised access or misuse, we reserve the right to investigate and, where appropriate, temporarily suspend or permanently terminate access.
Platform & Technical Requirements
Our online academy is hosted using a third-party learning platform.
Students are responsible for ensuring they have a suitable internet connection, compatible device and any software reasonably required to access online course materials, view training videos and submit assessments.
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms and are not responsible for temporary interruptions caused by maintenance, outages or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where an access issue relates to our course or account configuration, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve it.
Digital Content, Cancellation & Refunds
All courses and workshops sold by The Seoul Formula are digital educational products. Once digital course or workshop content has been supplied and access has begun, purchases are non-refundable for change of mind, subject to your statutory rights.
Our digital content may be made available immediately following enrolment.
Where you request or agree for digital content to be supplied immediately during any applicable cancellation period, you will be required to expressly consent to the immediate supply of the digital content and acknowledge that, once supply begins, you will lose your statutory right to cancel where permitted by law.
Where valid consent and acknowledgement have been obtained and access to the digital content has begun, purchases are non-refundable for change of mind.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts any statutory rights or remedies which cannot legally be excluded.
If you experience a genuine technical problem preventing access to purchased training, please contact us so that we can investigate and make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue.
Payments & Third-Party Payment Providers
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods made available by The Seoul Formula at the time of purchase.
Where payment is made through a third-party payment provider, including instalment, credit or Buy Now Pay Later services, the student's agreement with that provider is separate from their agreement with The Seoul Formula.
Students remain responsible for complying with the payment provider's applicable terms and repayment obligations.
Failure to make payments due under an agreed payment arrangement may result in course access being suspended where permitted by law and by the relevant payment arrangement.
Fees, interest, eligibility decisions or other charges imposed independently by a third-party payment provider are outside the control of The Seoul Formula.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Students should contact The Seoul Formula in the first instance where they believe there is a genuine problem with their purchase or course access so that we have an opportunity to investigate.
Where a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated, we reserve the right to suspend access to the associated training while the dispute is investigated where appropriate.
We may provide relevant evidence to the payment provider or financial institution handling the dispute, including purchase records, acceptance of applicable terms, course access records, login activity, assessment submissions, communications and course completion information.
Nothing in this section prevents a student from exercising any legitimate statutory right or remedy available to them.
Course Eligibility & Prerequisites
Some training offered by The Seoul Formula may be designed for existing beauty, skincare or aesthetics professionals or may require previous qualifications, knowledge or experience.
Any prerequisites stated on the relevant course page form part of the enrolment requirements for that course.
Students are responsible for ensuring that they meet any stated prerequisites before purchasing or undertaking training.
Where no formal prerequisite is specified, students remain responsible for determining whether the training is appropriate for their existing knowledge, professional scope and intended use.
Completion of a course does not authorise a student to perform treatments where additional qualifications, licences, insurance or regulatory approval are required in their country or region.
Educational Workshops
Some educational products offered by The Seoul Formula are online educational workshops rather than practical treatment qualifications.
Workshops may use different completion and certification requirements from our practical treatment courses.
Unless specifically stated on the individual workshop page, completion of an educational workshop should not be interpreted as providing a standalone practical treatment qualification.
Students should review the individual workshop description before purchasing to understand its content, learning outcomes and certification requirements.
Practical Assessments
Where an online course includes practical certification, students must complete the required course content and assessments before certification can be awarded.
Depending on the course, requirements may include completion of required learning modules, successful completion of knowledge checks or quizzes, completion of any required staged assessments and submission of a practical video assessment demonstrating the required treatment or techniques.
Assessment submissions must follow the recording and submission requirements provided within the relevant course.
The student is responsible for ensuring that submitted footage is sufficiently clear for the treatment and techniques to be assessed.
Assessments are reviewed remotely by The Seoul Formula.
If an assessment does not demonstrate the required standard, additional evidence or a resubmission may be requested before certification is awarded.
Submission of an assessment does not automatically guarantee a pass.
Certification is awarded only when the required standard has been demonstrated.
Models Used for Practical Assessments
Where a course requires practice or a practical assessment to be completed on a model, students are responsible for ensuring that the model has provided appropriate informed consent and is suitable to receive the treatment being performed.
Students must conduct any required consultation and contraindication checks and follow appropriate hygiene, safety and professional procedures.
As our practical assessments are completed remotely, students are responsible for the selection, consultation and treatment of their assessment model and for ensuring that the treatment is performed safely and appropriately.
Students must not perform techniques on a model where doing so would be outside their professional competence, insurance cover or applicable legal scope.
Certification
Certificates are issued following successful completion of the requirements specified for the relevant course or workshop.
Practical treatment courses may require successful practical assessment before certification.
Educational workshops may use knowledge-based completion requirements and may not require practical assessment.
Certificates are generally issued electronically as PDF documents via email.
Students are responsible for ensuring that the name and contact details associated with their enrolment are accurate.
Certification confirms successful completion of the relevant The Seoul Formula training. It does not constitute a guarantee of employment, professional registration, licensing, insurance acceptance or regulatory approval.
Accreditation, Insurance & International Students
Where a course is described as accredited, this refers to the accreditation applicable to that particular training programme at the time stated.
Professional, licensing and insurance requirements vary between insurers, countries, regions and jurisdictions.
Students are responsible for checking with their insurer, professional body and/or relevant local authority that a qualification will be accepted for their intended professional use before purchasing training or offering a treatment commercially.
This is particularly important for students completing our training outside the United Kingdom.
The Seoul Formula cannot guarantee acceptance by every insurer, licensing authority, professional organisation or regulatory body worldwide.
Professional Responsibility
Our training is provided for professional education and development.
Students are responsible for practising within their existing competence, qualifications, insurance cover and applicable professional scope.
Students must comply with all laws, regulations, licensing requirements, insurance conditions and professional standards applicable in the country or region in which they practise.
Treatment protocols taught within our courses are educational frameworks and must always be applied using appropriate professional judgement, consultation, contraindication screening and individual client assessment.
Students remain responsible for the treatments and services they subsequently provide to their own clients.
Course Results & Educational Outcomes
Individual results from training will vary.
Completion of training does not guarantee business success, income, employment, client results, treatment outcomes, insurance acceptance or regulatory approval.
Any examples, case studies or educational outcomes shown in course materials or marketing are illustrative and should not be interpreted as guarantees of identical results.
Intellectual Property
All course content and materials provided by The Seoul Formula, including training manuals, written course content, training videos, photographs, graphics, treatment protocols, educational frameworks, teaching methodologies, diagrams, assessment materials, quizzes, downloadable resources, presentations and other original educational materials remain the intellectual property of The Seoul Formula or are used by us under appropriate licence.
Purchasing training provides the registered student with a limited, personal right to use the materials for their own education and professional development.
Course materials must not be copied, reproduced, republished, sold, licensed, uploaded, distributed or provided to another person without our prior written permission.
Students must not download content where downloading has not been expressly enabled, screen-record, reproduce, photograph for redistribution, copy or otherwise redistribute protected online course content.
Course materials, educational frameworks, written protocols and other protected content must not be repackaged, substantially reproduced or adapted for the purpose of creating or delivering another training course, workshop, manual, presentation or educational product without our prior written permission.
Students may apply the professional skills and techniques learned through training within their own treatment practice, subject to their qualifications, insurance and local legal requirements. This does not transfer ownership of our written materials, videos, branding or original educational content.
Unauthorised sharing, reproduction or commercial distribution of course materials may result in suspension or termination of course access and may lead to further action where appropriate.
Complimentary & Promotional Training
Where a course, workshop or other educational product is provided free of charge as part of a promotion, bespoke training package, goodwill arrangement or complimentary enrolment, it has no separate cash value unless expressly stated otherwise.
Complimentary products cannot normally be exchanged for cash or substituted for another product unless agreed by The Seoul Formula.
Where a paid package includes complimentary training, cancellation or refund rights relating to the paid elements remain subject to applicable consumer law and the specific terms of the purchase.
Bespoke Training Packages
Where The Seoul Formula agrees a bespoke package containing multiple courses, workshops or additional educational benefits, the contents and price of that package will be confirmed with the student before payment.
Bespoke package pricing may differ from the combined individual retail prices of the included products.
Any complimentary elements included within a bespoke package will be identified as such and do not carry a separate refundable cash value unless expressly agreed otherwise.
The normal assessment, certification, intellectual property and professional responsibility provisions within these Terms continue to apply to each relevant element of the package.
Course Updates & Changes
We continually review our educational materials and may make reasonable updates to course content, protocols, lessons, videos, assessments or structure to maintain educational quality, accuracy or relevance.
We may add, replace, reorganise or remove individual materials where reasonably necessary.
Any changes will not remove statutory rights and will not materially reduce the core training purchased without reasonable justification.
Where a significant change materially affects an enrolled student's training, we will take reasonable steps to communicate this where appropriate.
Student Conduct
Students must communicate with The Seoul Formula and other members of our learning community in a reasonable and respectful manner.
Harassment, threats, abusive behaviour, fraudulent activity, deliberate misuse of the platform, infringement of intellectual property or conduct intended to disrupt our services may result in restrictions being placed on participation or course access where proportionate and legally permissible.
Where appropriate, we may terminate access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms.
Support & Communications
Student support is provided remotely through the communication channels made available by The Seoul Formula.
We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe but do not guarantee immediate responses.
Students are responsible for ensuring that the email address associated with their account is correct and for checking spam or junk folders for course, assessment and certification communications.
Privacy & Student Data
Personal information provided during enrolment, course participation and assessment will be handled in accordance with our applicable Privacy Policy and data protection obligations.
Where practical assessments contain images or video of students or models, these materials will be used for assessment and related educational administration unless additional permission has been obtained for another use.
Students are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from any model appearing in assessment material before submitting it to us.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability which cannot legally be excluded for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts a consumer's statutory rights relating to digital content or services.
Subject to those rights, The Seoul Formula is not responsible for losses arising solely from a student's failure to follow the training provided, failure to comply with contraindications or safety guidance, practising outside their competence or insurance, or failure to comply with applicable laws and professional requirements.
Students remain responsible for the professional treatments and business services they provide independently following training.
Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for delays or temporary inability to provide services caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.
Where such circumstances affect course access or delivery, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and restore the affected service where possible.
Complaints
If you have a concern regarding your course, workshop, purchase, assessment or access, please contact The Seoul Formula using the contact details provided through our website or online academy.
We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and respond to genuine complaints fairly and within a reasonable timeframe.
Making a complaint does not affect any statutory rights available to you.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, online learning platform, business practices or applicable legal requirements.
The Terms applicable to a purchase will generally be those provided or made available to the student when the relevant contract was entered into, except where a later change is required by law or is expressly agreed.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of any mandatory protections or rights they may have under applicable consumer law.
The Seoul Formula accepts students internationally. Where a student is located outside England and Wales, nothing within these Terms & Conditions is intended to deprive that student of any mandatory consumer protections which apply to them under the laws of their country or region and which cannot legally be excluded by contract.
Statutory Rights
Nothing contained within these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any rights or remedies which a consumer is entitled to under applicable law.
Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory legal right, that legal right will take precedence.
